About
A small team, building the tutor we wished our kids had.
Koda started with a simple frustration: math apps want kids to look at a screen, but real math gets done on paper. We're building a tutor that lives where the work lives.
A few rules we won't break.
- Paper-first.
The pencil stays in your child's hand. The screen is the tutor's; the page is your child's.
- On-device, by default.
A child's face, voice, and work are not data we want to hold. They live on the device in your home, and only there.
- Effort earns XP — not just right answers.
Show your work, and Koda notices. Guess, and it doesn't. The reward is for the work, not the answer.
- Quiet, not peppy.
No streaks. No leaderboards. No fake urgency. The tutor is warm, specific, and honest. The site is too.
- Built for kids who learn differently.
ADHD, dyscalculia, dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism — accommodations are first-class settings, not an add-on.
Koda is being built by a small founding team in New York. The full bio + photo land here once the press kit is ready. In the meantime, you can reach the founder at hello@kodatutor.ai.
